Hi, I’m Valerie Englehart — a professional watercolor artist whose work is recognized for bold color, rich texture, and expressive, story-driven painting.
I hold signature status with the Northwest Watercolor Society, have exhibited in regional galleries and public spaces, and have received juror recognition for my work.
But just as important as credentials is how I teach. I specialize in helping artists move past hesitation — around color, looseness, and composition — and into confident, joyful painting. Animals and florals are central to my work because they naturally invite emotion, movement, and narrative, and I love guiding students to translate that story onto paper with intention and freedom.
